Miller Leiby is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join our Premises Liability Litigation practice. This role will focus on defending slip-and-fall, trip-and-fall, snow/ice, and other general liability matters on behalf of commercial property owners, managers, and insurers.
Responsibilities
- Manage premises liability cases from intake through resolution
- Draft and argue dispositive motions, including summary judgment and labor law applications where applicable
- Conduct and defend depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts
- Prepare mediations, settlement conferences, and trial presentations
- Maintain consistent client communication and reporting
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school; admitted in New York (admission in other jurisdictions a plus)
- Minimum 3 years of insurance defense experience with a focus on premises liability, general liability, and/or retail/commercial property litigation
- Primary case venue will be NYC and surrounding counties
- Familiarity with New York premises liability standards, including Administrative Code §7-210 and related local laws
- Excellent analytical, writing, and courtroom skills

Compensation: $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
